Meet Nancy Adkins

For my entire legal career, I have been a vocal advocate for helping families in need.

I first became passionate about helping families while working as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida in the Child Support Enforcement Division. It was there that I sharpened my legal acumen, but I realized I wanted to do more to reduce the pain and trauma they were going through.

In 2010, I opened Adkins Family Law to provide the personalized attention these families needed. I want to personally know my clients and not just their problems. Family law matters can be among the most difficult and stressful in a person’s life, and I want to help. I think of myself as more than a lawyer; I am a confident, friend and trusted advisor.

I will strive to keep you out of court by identifying strategies that will achieve the best outcome. But if going to court can’t be avoided, you will have no better fighter on your side to protect your rights and strive to secure the best possible outcome. Client after client have stated that having me represent them is like having a friend in the courtroom.

I did my undergraduate work at the University of Miami (Go Canes!) and received my law degree from St Thomas University. My work as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida gave me a broad background and understanding of family law. I represented the Department of Revenue on issues of paternity and child support including out of state and international enforcement.
